The Sports & Leisure Association Mangakino is a community organisation originally set up to support local sport, leisure, health, and recreation activities and facilities in the Mangakino district. 

The Association is a partner in local community development initiatives; in areas of Maori and community health, community engagement and local event coordination.  It works collaboratively with all sectors of the community to achieve Whanau Ora and community wellbeing.

Community facilities which the Association administers include the Mangakino FitGym, Hauora Kokiri (community health initiatives delivered from a kaupapa Maori framework), the Mangakino Moto X Park and Te Awhina Community House.  It also runs local Healthy Eating Healthy Activity (HEHA) events.
